Bradford Grammar School in WW1

From 2014 to 2019, a partnership between the Old Bradfordians’ Association, the Old Bradfordians’ Club (London) Ltd and Bradford Grammar School will commemorate each Old Bradfordian who gave their life to serve their country in World War 1.

Services take place at the BGS War Memorial on the 100th anniversary of their death, and all Old Bradfordians and guests are welcome to attend. Details of forthcoming services can be found in the events calendar.

On Friday 1 July 2016, we commemorated the 14 Old Bradfordians who lost their lives at the Battle of the Somme in a full School assembly. Read more here.

Nick Hooper, former Head of History at BGS, is researching and writing a biography of each Old Bradfordian and these will be uploaded to this page as and when they are completed.
