The main objective of the OB Club (London) Ltd is to provide opportunities for former pupils to meet up and enjoy a regular programme of dinners and other get-togethers.
The OB Club (London) Ltd contributes to:
- A Sixth Form Scholarship at the School
- Support of the Robert Miura Bursary Fund that assists pupils through their entire career at school
- Running the James and Eliza Drummond Studentship Trust for postgraduate students
- Sponsoring the sports prize at the School’s Speech Day
- Other charitable donations in support of the School and pupils, made on an ad hoc basis.
Following an initiative by ACR Carter – our founder and an early Secretary and President – the OB Club (London) was established by a group of prominent Old Bradfordians (then known as “Old Boys”) living in London and the South East. Our first recorded meeting was in 1896, and the Club was incorporated in 1913 in its present form as an independent club for Old Bradfordians living, working or just visiting the Capital.
The aims of the Club remain the same today, and we extend a warm welcome to guests of Old Bradfordians at our regular programme of dinners and get-togethers.
We’re always delighted to welcome newcomers. It doesn’t matter if you left the School last year or the last decade. So, whether you want to relax with a bunch of friendly OBs, you’re looking for careers advice, or new to London and just want to see a friendly face, a network of Old Bradfordians is here.
If you’re interested in joining us, please get in touch – club membership is free! Plus, Dinner is free for first timers at any of our regular Dinners.
