Dan Snow
On Friday 7 December 2018, Bradford Grammar School, in conjunction with the Ilkley Literature Festival, will be welcoming Britain’s favourite historian; Dan Snow to the School.

The event: ‘Dan Snow: On This Day in History’ is suitable for families and people of all ages that enjoy history.

Dan Snow will tell the story of an important event that happened on each day of the year. From the signing of the Armistice treaty on 11 November 1918 to Rosa Parks refusing to give up her bus seat on 1 December 1955, from the Ides of March to D-Day and the day Napoleon was attacked by hundreds of wild rabbits, Dan Snow offers a vivid, personal history of the world, showing how our past is full of fascinating turning points. Dan Snow is a BAFTA winning broadcaster and television presenter. His hugely popular History Hit podcast is downloaded one million times a month and he has a regular slot on BBC One’s The One Show.

Refreshments and canapés will be served from 6.45pm, for a 7.30pm start, and the event will close with a Q&A session and book signing (books will be available to purchase on the night or can be pre-ordered via the link below).
