Dancer Sophie D, a Year 4 pupil at Bradford Grammar Junior School, has been crowned Bradford Prima Juvenile Tap Champion following her success in the Bradford heat of the Prima Dance Championship.
Sophie has been dancing at CC Dance Company in Shipley since the age of three. She trains three times a week in tap, ballet, jazz and acro, competing in solos, duets, trios and as part of the company’s competition troupe.
She said: “Dancing makes me so happy. I love going to dancing with my friends, I have the best teachers, and I feel proud when I do well at competitions!”
Beyond dance, Sophie is an active BGS pupil, enjoying art, design and technology and a wide range of sports including hockey, gymnastics and cross country. She is also a keen runner with Bingley Harriers Running Club.
