Bradford Grammar School (BGS) has been listed in the top three independent schools in the North of England in the Sunday Times Schools Guide 2019.

The ratings were published in the Sunday Times and are collated using Parent Power, which is acknowledged as the most authoritative survey of the UK’s best schools. BGS was named Northern Independent School of the Year in the 2018 list.

In A Levels this summer, 78.5 per cent of exams received an A* to B grade, and 75.7 per cent of GCSEs received an A* or an A, or 9 to 7 in the new system.

Simon Hinchliffe, BGS Headmaster said: “At Bradford Grammar School we are delighted to have been recognised once again as a leading independent secondary school in the north. Good news for Bradford, good news for Yorkshire. We enjoy learning and school life is rich and varied both inside and outside the classroom.

Last summer our A Level results were very strong and GCSEs broke school records. Our success reflects a happy and hardworking school that pulls together to get the best out of everyone.”
