In celebration of the 35-year anniversary of the school welcoming girls into the Sixth Form, and the 20-year anniversary of becoming fully co-educational, BGS will host a very special ‘Leading Ladies’ event, which celebrates BGS women.

The school will host ‘Leading Ladies’ on 9 November 2019. The event will include a panel discussion focusing on ‘what it means to be a leading lady in 2019’ and will bring together female Old Bradfordians and Bradfordians who are leaders in their field across various sectors such as sport, PR, engineering and journalism.

Key themes include:

  • Influence and resilience – How you can become more influential, building confidence and resilience to support yourselves in your careers and lives.
  • Gender equality – what’s in it for me? – What are we doing to move towards gender balance, how you can take steps to progress gender equality, and how this benefits us all.
  • How to be a successful female entrepreneur – What does it mean to be a woman in business in the UK today? What are some of the challenges you may face? Where can you find role models? How can you build a network? Which business opportunities exist for mothers?
