A young Bradford student’s acting career is going from strength to strength after her latest appearance in a popular BBC children’s television programme.

Isha A has been acting since the age of five. She performed in the film ‘The Runaways’, featuring the actors Mark Addy and Tara Fitzgerald, has appeared in various adverts and she voiced Frankie the Cat in the ‘Pip and Posy’ animation, which was aired on Channel 5 and won a British Animation Award for Best Children’s Preschool Series.

Now she has filmed an acting role in Series Two and Three of the CBeebies television programme, ‘Biff, Chip and Kipper’ based on the much-loved books, which is being aired now.

Isha said: “My school friends know I’ve been involved in lots of different projects and they’re always excited to know where I’ve been when I’m not in school.

“I play the part of Anneena in ‘Biff, Chip and Kipper’. It was fun to film Christmas scenes during a heatwave in the summer!

“I love my acting and enjoy working with production teams on set. I’d love to do it all the time, but I think I should play it safe with my education too. I’d like to be a vet. Maybe I could be a vet on TV!”

Dr Simon Hinchliffe, headmaster at BGS, said: “We have a long tradition of students leaving BGS to forge successful careers in film, theatre, music and the arts. We wish every success to Isha as she continues on her chosen path – whether it’s as an actor or a TV vet!”
