Junior pupils raised more than £1,200 for charities, which support wildlife conservation and help children living in poverty overseas.

Pupils from Years 2 to 6 took part in a range of Harvest Appeal activities which included bringing in delicious home baked goods to sell to other pupils and staff and creating exciting games, such as ‘guess the teddy’s name’.

Junior School deputy head (academic), Charity Orviss said: “Pupils at the Junior School worked very hard on the Harvest Appeal and as a result they raised a large amount of money for two great causes which are close to our hearts at the junior school. We are very proud of everyone who got involved.”

The money raised will be given to the World Wildlife Fund and ActionAid UK through which the School sponsors the following children: Ronald Amodoi (Uganda), Leandra Faustino Hunguana (Mozambique), Rajpal Rajaram (India) and Shawa Seidu (Ghana).
