We have enjoyed a number of successful events including celebrating European Languages Week and our annual fundraiser, Harvest Appeal. We commend both parents and pupils for their fantastic efforts in raising over £1,200 for worthwhile causes.

This term, pupils have been treated to visits from a multitude of guest speakers, including prestigious authors and historical experts. As ever, pupils have prospered as a result of trips and extra-curricular clubs. We sincerely hope that our junior journalists offer a colourful and varied insight into just a sample of the very special and dynamic opportunities available to all of our pupils.”

“Our successes have been reported favourably in the region and nationally, but BGS is no exam hot house. Our honest, hard working students do well by virtue of their ambition, appetite for good learning and the mutually respectful relationships they enjoy with expert and experienced teachers who care. They reflect the tremendous support of our parents that we do not take for granted.

This term we have visited Pompeii, New York, Vecht, Great War Battlefields and Year 7s got stuck into a terrific Peter Gordon Lawrence (PGL) Camp (with added interest from Storm Bronagh!) in Lincolnshire. The arts, sport, volunteering, clubs, guest speakers and musicians, contact with Old Bradfordians and even the movement of cranes and diggers on site have enriched our autumn days. I hope the following pages give you a flavour of recent weeks at BGS.”
