Fourteen BGS pupils enjoyed an orienteering weekend in the Midlands on 19 to 20 November, culminating in the British Schools Orienteering Championships at Sutton Park.

Two members of last year’s fourth placed Year 7 boys team – George Worthington and William Westlake – were joined by Finlay Kelleher to go one better and earned Bronze medals and a podium place in the Year 8 boys’ category – the best ever team placing since orienteering established itself as a sport at BGS.

George was also 11th individual in a strong field of 54.  The Year 9 team was seventh and a small group of Year 7 pupils gained experience in the sport.  Congratulations to all who took part in the trip!
