sfc4I really had no idea school life could be this enjoyable. I had wanted to come to Bradford Grammar for a change and I was primarily attracted to the fantastic facilities the school has to offer. I knew it was an exceptional school before I came, but perhaps not to the extent it really is! So far I have enjoyed every minute of being a student at Bradford Grammar, and I am so pleased I made the decision to come here. There is a great atmosphere in the Sixth Form Centre, and from the first day I came here I was made to feel welcome. It really is a fantastic community to be part of, and there are such positive vibes about the place.

I was really pleased to be able to get involved so quickly in the sports at Bradford Grammar. I was made to feel really welcome on the hockey and cross country teams. Already I have competed in three cross country events and played in more hockey matches than I can recall. I also attend the dance society which is held on Friday lunchtimes, even though I have never danced before! It’s great to be part of so many school clubs, and already I feel like I am part of the school.

I can remember on my first day feeling slightly apprehensive about whether I was going to fit in. Those feelings didn’t last long and by the end of the first week I felt like I’d been at the school for years. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming, and I have made some really good friends.  The teachers were also very accommodating and I feel I adapted well to the new set-up. After the first couple of weeks my form tutor asked me how I was settling in and whether I was having any problems. I thought that was really reassuring and I feel I know I can seek his advice if ever I do have any troubles.

Bradford Grammar is a really impressive school and I wish I had joined from the first year. The Sixth Form Centre really is remarkable and it is a great privilege to be able to use such fantastic facilities. It was definitely the right decision to come here and I am so honoured to be part of the school.

BGS has been the perfect school for me and even after two years I’ll be sad to see it go, and the grades I achieve will be thanks to your staff.

I was invited to consider Bradford Grammar School for my sixth form by one of the schools games department. At the time I was not looking to move school but I went along to have a look round and a chat with the headmaster and was invited along to an interview with the head of sixth form and heads of department of the subjects I was hoping to take.
Having considered all my options especially that I’d have to get up very early to travel to school, I decided to go for it and accepted the offer of a place at BGS. I enjoyed my two years at BGS as it provided me with many more opportunities than I may have had elsewhere, the facilities were second to none and I was made to feel more than welcome by the staff my fellow sixth form students.
