The majority of Sixth Form students at BGS choose to continue with their studies at university and further information about our Higher Education provision can be found under Academic/Higher Education.
Not all students choose to read for a degree and one recent leaver secured a position as a trainee chartered accountant with a local firm on leaving school becoming, for a short while on qualification, the second youngest accountant in England.
Increasingly students choose to have a gap year between school and university usually, though not always, deferring their university entry for twelve months. The teaching staff are able to offer practical help and advice on gap year jobs and travel options.
