“We are extremely pleased to introduce to you our wonderful team of Junior Journalists. They are passionate...
A childhood hobby can become a catalyst for a lifelong passion, which is why we support future career paths through Senior School and beyond.
Advice and practical help from our Careers and Higher Education Department enable pupils to explore suitable subject choices, degrees and jobs. In later years, weekly form periods offer time for focus and reflection upon next steps.
We do everything in our power to create the right opportunities for our pupils, supporting their chosen careers every inch of the way.
The Careers department helps to find appropriate work experience placements for students in the Sixth Form.
We run a range of careers events including a Careers Evening with speakers from a variety of professions such as medicine, law, engineering, finance and the armed forces. These speakers are often former pupils, parents or local businesses with connections to the school.
The most recent Careers Evening took place in November and was attended by over 250 pupils and their parents. If you are interested in getting involved in future careers events, please click here to register your interest.
Business Networking Lunches
During the school year there are themed networking lunches to introduce Sixth Form students to professionals: this gives students the opportunity to ask questions and to network.
The last Networking Lunch took place in March and the focus was on the Natural and Built Environment. We are interested to hear from professionals who would be interested in attending future events.
The Higher Education department runs an annual Information Evening in the spring term for parents of prospective university applicants. Students in the Sixth Form are offered advice about the choice of courses and universities. We offer interview tips and practice sessions.
Assistance and guidance are offered throughout the application process and beyond and staff are available in school for several days in August after A and AS Level results have been released in order to support students.
We are located on the ground floor of the Sixth Form Centre. Students can drop-in or book an appointment to see us.
