Change of tactics
Rounders is a traditional English sport which gives our girls the opportunity to work as a cohesive team and to represent the school in both friendly and league fixtures. In recent years it has changed into a more tactical game and the girls enjoy using their intelligence to outwit their opponents. There is the opportunity for all girls to take part in rounders both within games lessons, on a Wednesday afternoon, in lunchtime practices and at weekday and Saturday fixtures. At a local level we are involved in the Bradford Schools leagues in the Under 12 to Under 15 age groups. Within the Bradford district we have had great success in the leagues so far this year, with all four age groups going through to the semi-finals. In 2009/10 we will be fielding girl’s teams from the First to Fourth Years.
