At Bradford Grammar School we offer all pupils from the age of 14 onwards the opportunity to undertake the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.  The school offers both the Bronze and the Gold Awards and will support those who wish to do the Silver Award outside of school.

All pupils in the Third Form sign up for the Bronze Award and their training programme runs throughout the Fourth Form.

The Bronze DofE programme has four sections, Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition and takes 6-12 months to complete.  The Gold DofE programme takes 18 months to complete. Pupils must be at least 16 to undertake the Gold Award.  There are five sections to the Award, Volunteering, Physical, Skills, Expedition and Residential.

Full details of the Award programme can be found on their website, www.DofE.org.

There are now over 300 Bradford Grammar School students who have achieved their Bronze Award. A further 55 have completed their Silver Award and over 40 have achieved the Gold Award.
