Psychology is taught only in the Sixth Form and there are no prerequisites in terms of previous knowledge of the subject. Students follow a common syllabus to AS level which is based on famous examples of psychological research. Questions are set on these pieces of research in two end-of-course papers. A further one-hour examination tests students' understanding of research methods in general. At A2 there are various options available and we choose two from Psychology & Crime, Psychology & Sport, Psychology & Health or Psychology & Organisations.
