The Careers Department offers a programme of advice and guidance to students throughout their time at Bradford Grammar School. During the form period pupils begin to evaluate their own skills and start to investigate suitable careers. All Fifth form (Year 11) pupils and new entrants to the sixth form are interviewed to discuss their options and are given individual guidance. We also help pupils to find appropriate work experience placements. The Careers Department runs a biennial Careers Evening with speakers from a variety of professions such as medicine, law, engineering, finance and the armed forces. These speakers are often Old Bradfordians (ex-pupils), parents or local businesses with connections to the school. During the school year there are themed business lunches to introduce sixth form pupils to professionals for them to ask questions and to network. The Careers Room in located in the Clarkson Building and is open every day. We have an award winning Careers Library for pupils to consult and advice is available on an appointment basis.
