PASTORAL
- Bradford Grammar School aims to create a happy and supportive school environment, which promotes values such as tolerance, mutual respect, hard work and trust.
- Pastoral care is central to achieving this aim and to ensuring that all our pupils realise their full potential.
- Each pupil has a form tutor with whom he or she has daily contact. Form tutors are the cornerstone of a pastoral team that includes Heads of Year and the Senior Tutor.
- Pupils' progress is monitored and reported to parents twice a term. Where problems arise they are dealt with, in the first instance, by form tutors. Heads of Year, often in consultation with parents, assume responsibility for the more serious pastoral problems.
- We strongly believe that effective pastoral care is a partnership between teachers and parents.
