Hold your own reunion

We know that Bradford Grammar School holds a special place in Old Bradfordians’ hearts, but a trip back to the School may not be easy for some.  We want to support you to get together with other Old Bradfordians, wherever you may be in the world.

Organising a reunion can be hard work so we have put together a few tips to help you get started.  We are here to make your planning easier, so please get in touch and we will be more than happy to help.

We are here to help

We can:

  • gather a list of invitees based on your criteria
  • design and distribute e-invitations and reminders to your guest list
  • arrange for a representative of the School to attend, if you wish.

If your event will be held in Yorkshire we may be able to:

  • organise a photographer
  • help you to make catering arrangements
  • lead a tour of the School.

All we ask in return is that you send us a list of who attended, along with photos and a summary of the event for us to include on our website.

Things to consider

Why are you planning this event?

As well as having BGS in common, what else links your guests? Whether it is a ‘Class of 1986’ reunion, an Old Bradfordians in Newcastle get-together, or a Rugby squad party, think about who you would like to invite and why they would want to attend.

Who will you invite?

We can help you to find people to invite to your reunion.  We can search for Old Bradfordians on our database by location, age, interests, hobbies or the year they left Bradford Grammar School.  Although we cannot share people’s contact information without their consent, we can send out invitations on your behalf.

What will your event be?

  • A bite to eat for a handful of people?
  • An informative lecture with guest speaker?
  • A large function with entertainment?
  • A sports match then down to the pub?

How will you plan the event?

Getting together a couple of other organisers will help to spread the responsibilities and make the planning more enjoyable.  Things to consider include:

  • finding a suitable venue
  • how much everything will cost
  • whether you will charge your guests for a ticket
  • dietary requirements.

If you are not sure where to start, please get in touch and we can help you to get the ball rolling.
