grandparents day
On Wednesday 28 June, one of Bradford Grammar Junior School’s most treasured events in the school calendar took place: Grandparents’ Day. Grandparents and other family members are treated to a range of performances, including music, poetry, drama and prose.

All four Year 6 classes performed, in celebration of their wonderful grandparents. Highlights included a modern day rendition of ‘Granny Can you Rap?; a short play called ‘Birthday Surprise’; a Grandma and Grandad sketch written by the pupils themselves and a choral poem titled, ‘What are Grandparents made of?’

After the performance, Grandparents and pupils enjoyed afternoon tea in the Clock House dining hall where they shared some quality time with each other in celebration of this fantastic event.

Director of Teaching and Learning, Charity Orviss said, “It was wonderful to welcome so many Grandparents and friends into Clock House to celebrate this important day in our calendar.”
