Our NEW edition of the Junior School’s ‘Clockwise’ is now available to view online. The showcase features stories, poetry, letters and imagery from the Junior School year.
This work ranges from written stories and poems (in English, French and German) to beautiful, innovative projects in Art and Design Technology. The whole Junior School becomes involved and the best pieces are then selected – an unenviably tough decision!
This year is no exception and shows not only the quality but also the range of work our pupils produce, which we are very proud to showcase. In addition, we have created a new look which, we hope you will agree, shows their work to best effect.
The NEW look
BGS has changed over the years, as has its badge and identity. This ‘brand’ goes much deeper than what we see, and our recent review encompassed and updated School values, mission and beliefs.
As you can see in this new-look ‘Clockwise’ we have settled on the approach following an in-depth process, with input from across the School community, including pupils, parents and staff.
We’ve approached Clockwise in a more fluid and flexible way to better reflect the age group (Juniors) and the short article length. We wanted to express enthusiasm and energy in the design and update the cut-out/collage style to give it a more considered feel.
The style encourages visual recall and helps to express the personality of the publication from first visual contact – we feel its important to express the individuality of the Junior school and think this makes a wonderful visual feature.
We hope you enjoy the 2016 edition of Clockwise.
